Everything you need for race day

We're so excited to have you racing with us on Halloween! Please read every section on this page. It all has very important information for race day.

1.Complete your race forms before race day

Every runner needs to complete this before race day. It's one link that covers the park waiver, the race waiver, and your medical emergency information. If you don't fill it out ahead of time, you'll need to complete paper forms at registration.

Sunset is around 6 PM, so bring a headlamp if you plan to run the final lap.

3.Getting into the park

When you pull up to the gate, tell the attendant you're here for the race. Each runner gets one vehicle in. The attendant will check your name off a list, and that covers your entry fee.

Friends and family coming in a separate car will need to pay the park's $10 daily entrance fee at the gate. Carpooling with your crew saves them the fee.

Race HQ

Once you're through the gate, head to the Pelican Point shelter. That's where check-in, the start/finish, and the aid station are.

4.Course update

We're waiting on final confirmation of the course from the park. As soon as we have it, we'll send you the final map.

5.Canopy tent reservations

If you'd like to set up a canopy tent, you need to reserve a spot with us ahead of time. Canopies must be 10x10.

Not bringing a canopy? No problem. We've reserved the Pelican Point shelter, a covered structure with about 30 picnic tables inside.

6.What's on the table

One aid station at the start/finish, and you'll pass it every lap.

All day
Water · Gatorade · coffee · hot chocolate · bananas · snacks · miso soup · baked goods
From the grill, 11 AM–2 PM
Burgers · veggie burgers · hot dogs · quesadillas

Bring your own favorites too. Pack the foods, gels, and electrolytes you like to run on, so you have exactly what works for you.

7.Free race photos

We'll be taking photos all day, and every photo will be free and available after the race.

Bib headshot

When you pick up your bib, we'll snap a headshot of you holding it. Wear your running clothes when you grab your bib so you're photo-ready.

8.Bringing your dog

Bear Creek Lake Park is a public park, and leashed dogs are welcome.

If you're running, someone else must watch your dog. Dogs can't be left unattended at the shelter or your canopy. You're responsible for your dog, and the race is not liable for any issues your dog may cause.

9.No electricity on site

There's no power at the shelter or the start/finish. If you'll need to charge a phone, watch, or headlamp, bring a battery bank.

10.No pacers

Pacers are not permitted on the course. Only registered runners may run the loop.

It's Halloween
